We are a thriving community space where people of all ages come together to grow, learn, and connect.  Located in the heart of Stourbridge/Wollaston, our allotment sites are run entirely by volunteers with a shared passion for gardening, sustainability, and fostering a sense of belonging.

Our allotments offers individuals and families the opportunity to cultivate their own plots, grow fresh, organic produce, and enjoy the benefits of outdoor gardening. Whether you're an experienced gardener or a complete beginner, there's always something to learn, and plenty of like-minded people to share the journey with.

Everything we do is made possible by the dedication of our amazing committee members and community. From maintaining the allotment grounds to organising events and workshops, our volunteers give their time and expertise to create a welcoming and sustainable space for all.

        Emma Fitzgerald – Chairperson

As Chair of Wollaston Allotment Society, I am passionate about creating an inclusive and welcoming community where everyone feels they belong. With over 20 years' experience in education, I have seen the value of collaboration, meaningful connections and creating opportunities for people to learn and grow together.

 

My vision is to encourage more young people and families to discover the many benefits of allotment gardening, while promoting positive mental health, wellbeing and stronger community connections. I believe our allotments should be places where generations come together, sharing knowledge, skills and experiences, ensuring traditional gardening practices are passed on while embracing new ideas and fresh perspectives.

 

By encouraging intergenerational learning, increasing community engagement and creating opportunities for people to connect with nature and each other, I hope to build a thriving allotment community where everyone can contribute, learn and feel a genuine sense of belonging and purpose.

As Treasurer of the allotment society, I’m proud to support a welcoming, fair, and well-run community. Alongside overseeing the Society’s finances, I help manage complaints, support fair and consistent decision-making, and ensure our policies and procedures remain clear, up to date, and appropriate for the needs of our members. I believe allotments offer far more than a place to grow—they bring people together, support wellbeing, encourage sustainable living, and create opportunities for knowledge, friendship, and community spirit to flourish across generations.

As Secretary of the allotment society, I’m committed to supporting clear communication, good organisation, and the smooth running of the Society. I help ensure that meetings, decisions, and important records are properly managed, while keeping members informed about matters that affect them. I’m proud to contribute to a welcoming and well-run community where people can enjoy their plots, share knowledge, build friendships, and feel part of something positive.
